Philadelphia Eagles Sign Michael Vick
Though it’s very disheartening to know that Michael Vick will again play in the NFL, I gotta say, I figured it was inevitable that a team would eventually sign him.
Take away his ability as a football player, and he’s just a jerk who tortured animals for his own profit. This is what gets me – lots of folks have argued that he served his time and should be allowed to return to the NFL. If he had a normal blue-collar job, I would agree with them. But NFL players are an elite group of superstars, not just a “regular job”. Our children look up to these players. Do we really want our kids idolizing someone who electrocuted, drowned, and abused his dogs?
I think that the NFL should have allowed Vick to return, but only in a non-player capacity. If he wanted to work behind the scenes, fine. By allowing him to play, the NFL has effectively endorsed his past conduct. If he had been CEO of a major corporation, do you think they would have let him return to a position in the public eye? Nope. They would have reinstated him in a different capacity within the organization, if they allowed him back at all.
Let your voice be heard – tell the NFL AND the corporate sponsors of the Eagles how you feel. You can find a list of the team’s sponsors at http://tinyurl.com/m7wyhk.

Welcome to the MN Bully Lovers Blog!
I’m Jen, the founder of MN Bully Lovers and the author of this Blog. From time to time, you’ll see guest bloggers featured, interviews with cool people in the dog biz, and maybe even a post or two from my pit bull, JD.
Since I’m not very technically inclined, you’ll have to settle for the simple version of our blog (I know, not being able to comment sucks). My most awesome Webmaster Cassie will have our full-featured blog up and running soon.
In the meantime, if you have any suggestions, topics you want to hear about, or advice, please feel free to email me at Jen@MNBullyLovers.com
